Y’all missed the part right after the dad burns, it cuts to the view of the house and everyone in the coven are standing naked in the yard. Fucking.Yikes.
One word I'd use for this movie description: Authentic
I think you guys rated each other *Wow
Had she been a 2nd ammendment enthusiast this movie wouldve ended quickly lol
15:00 You're talking about Scary Movie lol
As a native Massachusettser, this movie is LEGIT folklore/ horror/ insanity
Boring, unscary movie
Please add the movie subtitles to the reactions 😢
Your reaction to Donalds final scream really got me!😂 I definitely had the same facial expression when watching the movie for the first time!🫣🤫
Don't know if you knew this but Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) was the voice of the Predator.
Dudes, in your opening Comments you spoiled the WHOLE movie for those who haven't seen it. Learn to keep your mouths shut.
Born in 1966…Remember being taken to the Drive-In Theatre by my parents and watching it. Saw it and the 4 sequels on television in the 1970’s. Loved it then, love them now. Each sequel gives more info on how the fall of man occurred and it all leads back to Taylor and his crews visit to the future.
One thing confuses me ... at the very end when possessed Peter goes into the treehouse and Joan has or is about to crown him, he looks down and sees his mothers headless body, Joan says "its ok Charlie"...?? As in trying to calm Charlie down??
11:25 fun fact during the Ludovico treatment scene Malcolm, McDowell actually got one of his cornea scraped when those wires were being put into his eyes, but Stanley Kubrick kept rolling.
The Dark Knight totally drew inspiration from this. It isn't even a question. But if there is anything that needs to be questioned, it would be why does this film need a remake?
I always disagree with the Gordy's Home scene. Many claim it's the best part of the movie but it's irrelevant to the movie as a whole. Whilst I agree that it's very tense and one of the best parts of the movie, I disagree that it feels tacked on. For one, it grounds the horror in the real world so the rest of the events afterwards feels much more plausible. For another point, it gives Jupe's character the background the movie needed. The two leads, plus Angel, are pretty much front and center so there's no real need to bring much backstory to their characters. We learn who they are way before Jupe's end. But we learn what made Jupe the person he is through the flashback. A misunderstanding, not to mention luck. He was distracted by the shoe standing on its heel when Gordy attacked the rest of his coworkers. The scene brings Jupe a sense of thinking he's special, or chosen. As he whispers during The Star Lasso Experience. The depth of the character development within the Gordy's Home scene is given gravitas to the character of Mary-Joe Elliott. Without the subplot her death would be less impactful. Knowing that Jupe's misunderstanding is what ends both of them is the point. Without the flashback grounding the narrative and bringing character development, it wouldn't be the same. But that's just my opinion. Everyone is free to disagree.
In fairness, real skeletons were a thing in medical schools back then. I doubt they were cheap to get. People would donate their bodies to science. Still creepy though.

I don't know why I watched a reaction video, then got annoyed at the dramatized reactions. But I did.
The ghosts were afraid of daylight.
my problem with this movie is the lead vampire is a complete bad ass and can actually act then all the other vampire look like they have reverse down syndrome and cant act lol
The radiator hose comment is not random. At the beginning of the movie, the gas station attendant tells the main character that he needs a new radiator hose and he doesn’t get it replaced.
One of the best Lovecraftian movie.
Brandon Lee did such an amazing job in this, and I’m certain that he would’ve achieved the goal he told his mom, sister and fiancé about: to be more than just an “action star”.
These two talk too much.
I was 18 in rural Michgan in 1977, and we played Mailbox Baseball just like these guys (after dark). Fun fun fun.....Until we got chased by a truckload of rednecks one night...... P.S. No one ever mentions it, but Richard Dreyfuss has blue eyes. Zero resemblance to Wil Wheaton
They werent poisoned all there food and water was spiked and believe it or not this was a real thing they were doing suring vietnam it was called hbz drug and the hbz experiment
Look this up on UA-cam to hear the audience reaction of Michael Myers sitting up: My HALLOWEEN Audience Reaction AUDIO (1979) I remember it.
The thing is, we never found out who the murderer was....(?)
I have a great suggestion for you guys. In 1971 a sort of forgotten fil call "The Andromedia Strain" would be a wonderful movie for you to see. It is sort of science fiction, but not really. I hope you give it high consideration - and your reactions will be fun. It is a top-notch film, I Guarantee it.
This is the best horror movie since the exorcist! No bad acting!
The scene of both the screams from inside the burning church and the empty village of corpses will forever be seared into my brain
Kevin Williamson wrote this and Scream. Although Scream was released in theaters before this film, IKWYDLS was actually written first. Once Scream did well, this was given the greenlight.
I love how he was shooting at the troglodyte and since the trogs don't know what guns are they just stand there like "what are they doing?"
….and John Hughes said he wrote it in about 3 days. Kevin Williamson claims he wrote Scream in about 3?days as well. I don’t know how they do it. It’s amazing.
About the post mortem photographs: at that time photography was still pretty new (in the movie they referrer to it as “from the past century” so earlier than the setting of the movie) and it was both rather costly to take a photo and it took some time to expose the film for it to capture the picture. Portraits were popular as it was still new in the mid 1800’s (the movie takes place in 1945) and you would have to sit still for quite a long time to take a single picture. In the start of photography (1820's) it took up to 15 MINUTES to take a single snapshot, by the early 1840’s the exposure time was reduced to 20 seconds. Anyone who has tried to taken photos of/with children, especially family portraits, know how difficult it is to have children stay completely still for even the short time it takes today to get a good snapshot. Back then you couldn’t just quickly take another picture if you accidentally blinked. For the same reason people rarely smiled in the early portrait photographs, as it would be easier to keep a neutral and relaxed expression. With the still rather high mortality rate (compared to today or even just 50-100 years later than early photography), especially among children, being able to keep one photo of your loved one was a new luxury. So many would opt for post mortem as a deceased person don’t move, capturing the image of them dressed up in their best and with no blurring from movement. Looking at it with the historical context makes it quite moving. 💫 ✨ 🌈 the more you know 🌈 ✨ 💫
Cloverfield is a masterpiece
As a kid I watched this movie at least 3 dozen times over the years... Absolute treasure of a movie 🍿
Everyone's reacts to escape from New York and skips escape to L.A wich is a far superior movie....it's so fustrating...
A FAUIKIN 8???!!!! THE HECK DO YOU NEED FOR A MOVIE TO BE 10 OUT OF 10 BBBBBUDDYYYYY????!!!!!
the cave in the movie was made out of multiple giant movie sets also the girls didn’t know what the crawlers look like until they showed up in the first scene they were in
