Recently saw Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' on an IMAX screen. It was like seeing it for the 1st time. There's something real magical about seeing something on a huge screen with booming surround sound.

Hi from The States. This is a very exciting thing you guys are doing and it will likely be so much better for you both overall. If reacting has been sapping the pleasure out of watching movies in general, then doing it less frequently seems the smart decision. Focusing on conversation about TV and films could well be the perfect thing. Your fans will stick with you in this new venture. Sometimes we need to shake things up a bit or make a change. I'm an older guy, age 58, and have learned a few things. One idea I have heard a few times from wise people has always been "Once you stop changing, you're done". Basically, life should never remain stagnant because then one stops growing. This change to a different format sounds like it will be really good. And Sunday was the best choice for sharing the podcast/show with listeners, no question.

The reviews after the films are the best part of your videos.

You guys quickly became my favourite channel on UA-cam and was the only channel I ever joined on patreon (I had to cancel it recently due to a bad break up and having to start life from scratch so had to save the pennies) but I plan on joining again soon! I love the reactions but I understand if it’s becoming more of a chore than fun then this switch up is good for you guys to stop you both burning out, Il still be here watching the podcast and at least this way whenever you decide to chuck a react in here and there you guys will hopefully enjoy filming it more and it will a nice little treat for us😂💙

Fair play! I can't imagine having to react as I watch a film for the first time and I could never do it myself. I enjoyed your reactions because they felt genuine, and there's hundreds of reactor channels that don't, including some of the biggest ones. I'll gladly listen to a new film podcast. Best of luck.

The only thing that worries me is the state of modern cinema, like sure there have been a few runaway hits this year, but by and large, most of what Hollywood puts out is pretty creatively bankrupt, relying too heavily on reboots, live action remakes of animated stuff, and generally projects that doesn't do very well with the audiences, we're definitely not in any kind of "golden era" when it comes to movies, it's actually a little alarming how much of a decline creativity has started to take in modern entertainment.

i started watching ur channel when i was 16. i liked seeing u guys share the same reaction i had when i first watched the movie myself. now that im 18 i barely watch reactions anymore except u guys just because i felt immature and some people seemed ingenuine. i think u guys are going in the right direction and i cant wait to hear ur thoughts on cinema.😇

I’ve always found you both to be so magnetic, interesting, and smart when discussing films- I’ll follow you guys anywhere, no matter what!

I've watched you guys for years, and a huge part of that is because I just love watching you two talk and laugh and have a good time whilst discussing movies. I'm a 29 year old British guy, and I see so much of myself and my best mate in you two, from your sense of humour to the passion you clearly have for film. (We're also a pair of movie buffs, we studied Film Production together at uni, and we still love arranging movie marathons whenever we can). That, paired with the fact that you're actually genuine and don't exaggerate your reactions like literal performers, has made you consistently enjoyable to watch and listen to. So whatever direction you take the channel, you can count on me staying as a viewer. As usual, as long as I'm personally interested in the movies being discussed and you two remain yourselves, I'll always be here. Keep it up dudes, and keep the love for film alive!

This is a great idea because you get to disect the movie more. One of my favorite podcasts on Spotify is We Hate Movies and I enjoy listening to them discuss the movie because I've probably already watched it and I don't need to see it again, I just want to hear what they think.

I'm just happy you're both doing something that will make you happy! If the enjoyment isn't there with the old format, then it's the right thing to do something different. Suggestions for the podcast: have an episode dedicated to a particular series, or tier lists (eg. ranking all the Hellraiser films). Good luck, lads! :)

I love your reaction videos as seeing your initial raw response is fun, however if that format ruins the enjoyment for you then absolutely moving into a more discussion focused format is the right move, and I look forward to it. Movies are supposed to be the perfect escapism and when joy is not derived from doing the reactions then there's no point in doing them. Cause believe it or not viewers can always tell when your heart is not in it. And I appreciate you finding other ways rather than quitting the channel. 🙌

i watch reaction channels because 1. my mind does not like rewatching movies I've seen (the discovery is already been done for it), but 2. I like remember it thru the eyes of a reaction / review channel to get the tidbits and see the viewer's reaction/interpretation and 3. I don't watch every React nor Review channel, I have to get a vibe that the person(s) doing so I can relate to / like / respect their experience(s) and 4. surprisingly, I'm one of those folks who grew tired of the movie theater (rude crowd/poor presentation conditions) and view content from the comfort of the home kingdom

I don't know how long I've been following the channel but it's probably been 2 years+, I'm here for the duo and I hope you realise that your perspectives and the discussions you have about all the different elements are what make you both so interesting/watchable. a few film/TV react channels have switched up their formats for the better lately. personally I sometimes appreciate the quick watches of 90-120+ movies into like 30 minutes vids but know how much work goes into that & the channels I enjoy most and keep up with show off their personalities and perspectives. the algorithm of youtube unfortunately doesn't benefit uniqueness a lot of the times and it forces too much stress on people. copyright strikes are no joke. sometimes comment sections ignore the work it takes and just demand, complain, demand. I'm usually just a silent enjoyer lol but feel like letting you both know that I'm a fan of you two and appreciate how you choose to continue ahead. congrats on the babies and sorry about your breakup 🙏 glad you guys are adapting what you feel like doing and welcome it ❤

I LOVE reaction channels because we get to see people experience movies and scenes that we enjoy so much. As opposed to always watching them alone or with friends and family who aren't open enough to show how a movie affects them or share their opinion on it. It's just a super unique way to enjoy a film. It means alot to movie lovers to have reaction channels. If I remember correctly it was bigger first to find music reaction channels. So getting them for movies and shows was so awesome to see. But as reactors everyone will handle it differently because it's a different side of it. So it's totally cool that you guys are switching things up. If you weren't enjoying it anymore I'm glad that you're going to find a way that you will enjoy it again. I follow a channel I think it's called Pretty much it or something similar. (My mind isn't working atm 😂) But he just sits and watches but talks the whole time like a commentary since it's actually a podcast i think. I watch him sometimes but not enough to have anyone quote me on that lol. He uploads his videos that aren't reactions persay, mostly video clips with his voice over, and a few cuts to his reaction/face while watching it. And I guess his patreon you can watch the full recording of him watching it. Anyways, it's another way to see someone sort of "react" without actually being a full on reaction channel. So we still enjoy podcast type reactions. Even if you're not recording yourselves watching it, we enjoy podcasts in general especially since we know you guys from the channel already. I'll definitely stick around because I love you guys, your discussions about the movies. But if you ever felt you had to talk a certain amount, find unique things to say about the films, etc. You literally could just stare at it and laugh a bit, jump a bit, whatever, and we would love it. Or if you like chatting a ton over the movie too, we enjoy that. As long as it's you being yourselves we like it. Some reactors have to make a notice when they talk alot while reacting because some people don't like that, but your true audience will like you for who you are and so if that's what you do they'll like it! ❤ Also, we are actually really happy to see more and more reaction channels because we want MULTIPLE reactions of the same movies. This gives us more people to see enjoying the movies we enjoy. So as viewers it makes us happy to see more reaction channels. It's sort of a more the merrier thing for us. 😂 Anyways, I'm glad you guys are sharing this and I'm sort of typing my thoughts while you're talking which is why this comment is so freaking long. Lol But whatever you guys decide to do that you're going to enjoy, I'm excited for. And I will continue following!

First of all, I want to thank you guys for the content you've created. I've binged and rewatched so many of your reactions that filled time and space that had to be filled. Second, There have been movies that I've wanted to watch that I couldn't find, afford or didn't know about that I watched through you both. Hellraiser for example is a movie I heard a lot about, saw through your reactions and later decided to watch for myself. Even movies or shows, let's take Chernobyl for example, are great to watch reaction videos of. You know how people say "I wish I could erase X from my memory so I could experience it for the first time again?", that's what you both did for me. Third, if you don't innovate you'll come to a standstill. Who knows how long reaction channels stay relevant for, maybe you're ahead of the curve before demonitization finally takes over. And final, do what makes YOU happy. There is nothing more important in life than enjoying it. The change might have a negative impact at first, but if you enjoy what you're doing new ones will take over. Don't let it discourage you, making one persons day a bit more bearable should already be a accomplishment <3 Again, thanks for your time and effort. Keep doing what you do best.

You guys’ selling point is that your reactions weren’t just making faces, you were a *commentary* channel. You provided good insight into how you were experiencing the film. There was nothing cheap about that, it’s an entirely legitimate form of critique. And you were also a channel that provided good post-analysis, I always stuck around for your discussion. And I liked how you were building a catalogue of reviews. You guys had built something with a lot of potential. But I think your later reactions show that the energy had been sucked out of it for you. Good to see how you progress.

I respect you guys for being honest and for following your interest in this way. I've done creative things myself involving filming videos/interviews/writing etc. and at first it can be fun to turn a hobby into something larger, but it can feel like work and quickly become a chore or something you end up dreading. For what it's worth, I have kind of falling off of watching film reaction videos this past year myself, so if anything, there is only an upside for you moving to a podcast approach, as I already kind of tuned out! So perhaps relaunching with a new focus may end up meaning I come back to watch/listen again! Hope you're both well.

Please still keep all the old reaction videos I still watch them all back now and then
